A current craze for the sport"Among Us," an online multiplayer contest, brought Velazquez and many other people into the club. Before COVID-19, Wood said, the movie game team had fewer than 10 members. Now about 60 pupils have joined the group's discussion channel.

This year, the club dove into the competitive side of gaming, hard high schoolers from Washington and throughout the nation in a variety of esports.

The team has tackled events in"Mario Kart" and"League of Legends," with minimal achievement, but Velazquez's buy Madden 22 coins success may help propel the team. Wood explained the club"Super Smash Bros." staff is nearing the playoffs at the state contest and remains undefeated.
